Good evening.

There has recently been a burglary from a locked and secure garage on Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall. The offender/s gained access by breaking the external lock to the garage door and once inside removed a metal chain that secured a motor bike to a compressor and other objects before making off with the bike undetected.

The motor bike, worth £6,500 had previously been advertised for sale and, although no address stated in the advertisement,  a prominent building could be seen in the background directly opposite the garage.

Please take care when advertising items for sale.

 If you have an alarm system make sure it is set. Lock doors and windows and keep valuables out of sight.
