Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 17 April 2024


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

Between 5.00pm on Wednesday 10 and 8.00am on Thursday 11 April in Westminster Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield, the patio doors of a property were smashed and an untidy search was made of the property. We do not know at this time if anything was stolen.

At 10.40am on Saturday 13 April in Ashwood Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield, an owner returned home to find a smashed window and a second window open. A microwave oven was missing and a female was found sitting on the sofa. She was later arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Criminal Damage

Between midnight and 5.00am on Friday 12 April in Southwell Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield, brickwork was smashed and a garden vandalised.

At 11.24pm on Friday 12 April in Felley Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield, graffiti was written on the front door of a house by someone, possibly male, dressed all in black and wearing a balaclava. He/she made off towards Annesley.

At 11.12am on Thursday 11 April in Beacon Drive, Kirkby in Ashfield, reports of two off road motorbikes being ridden on land near the Pump Track park. 

Between 12.45pm and 3.45pm on Friday 12 April in Poplar Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield, tomato ketchup and eggs were thrown over the front door of a house.

At 7.11pm on Friday 12 April in Nuncargate Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of a scrambler bike being ridden on the pavement and doing wheelies up the road towards the Kirkby Woodhouse School.

At 4.58pm on Sunday 14 April in Bannerman Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a group of four white 8/14 year old males, two on bikes and two walking, were bashing at walls and slashing at hedges with a pole and what looked like a scythe or machete type knife.
