Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 17 April 2024


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 2.45am on Thursday 11 April in High Street, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a back door was forced to gain entry to a house by five males. Two males confronted the occupant sprayed something in his face and held him down on the floor telling him to stay still. His assailants had eastern European accents. The house was searched but nothing was taken.

Burglary Other

At 11.30pm on Friday 5 April at Tech Tube Ltd. Junction Road, Sutton in Ashfield, an intruder walked in to the Extrusion Department through a fire door and stole a stacking tool box containing electric drills and screwdrivers.

Between 7.30pm on Sunday 14 and 5.30am on Monday 15 April in In Lammas Road, Sutton in Ashfield, the Leisure Centre was broken into via the Ice Rink fire door. The offenders tried to open the safe in the managers office and stole 6/7 Samsung Tablets from the admin office.

At 8.30pm on Thursday 11 April at Tech Tube Ltd. Junction Road, Sutton in Ashfield, an intruder walked through a fire door into the Blow Moulding department and stole two aluminium moulds.

Theft of motor vehicle

At 9.32pm on Monday 15 April in Hamilton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a white Chausson Titanium 640 motorhome was stolen from a secure compound at Leverage House. The lock was cut off the gates to gain access.

Around 8.00pm on Thursday 11 April in Tom Simpson Way, Sutton in Ashfield, an unsecured black Cube Reaction pushbike with Maxis Downhill Tyres was stolen from the foyer of a building.

Between 12.00am and 1.30pm on Saturday 13 April in Brierly Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a fuse was stolen from the outside meter box of a house cutting off the electricity supply.

Criminal Damage

Around 8.19pm on Friday 12 April in Northwood Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a back side window of a silver Vauxhall Astra was smashed using a coping stone from a garden wall. The stone was thrown by a white male, 5-05” tall, skinny build, wearing a tracksuit top and dark coloured trousers.

At 6.33pm on Sunday 14 April in Healdswood Street, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, the rear window of a black Ford S-Max, parked on a driveway, was smashed with a brick.

ASB

At3.52pm on Thursday 11 April in Frederick Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a pit bike being ridden erratically on the pavement by a 16/17 year old boy.

At 9.32pm on Saturday 13 April in Kings Mill Road East, Sutton in Ashfield, a white male, age 30’s, with crutches and a splint on one leg, wearing a blue body warmer with a dark hoodie underneath and light coloured trousers, was swearing and being abusive towards the staff in the McDonald’s Restaurant. 

At 1.48pm on Sunday 14 April in Stuart Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three youngsters with two Quad bikes on the playing field at the end of the street. One bike was driven at the callers dog.

At 7.10pm on Sunday 14 April in Peel Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three males in a fenced off construction site pushing over a Portaloo. They were described as 11/13 years old wearing black/grey hoodies and black face masks covering their nose and mouth.
