A man has been charged after two officers reported being spat at.

The suspect is due to appear before Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on 1 May in connection with the alleged offence.

The officers were responding to a report of a man causing a disturbance at a pub in Mancetter.

As the officers arrested the suspect he is alleged to have spat at them.

James Badland, 28, of Watling Street, Mancetter was later charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
