Cash and vehicles seized during raids carried out in Bolton

Officers in Bolton seized cash and two vehicles after carrying out a series of warrants.

The action by the Bolton South Neighbourhood Policing Team yesterday (16/4/24) saw three simultaneous warrants, two at residential addresses and one at a business premises in Farnworth and Great Lever.

Two men – aged 27 and 39 – arrested on suspicion of money laundering have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Neighbourhood Inspector Keiron Maddocks said: “Today’s operation has taken around a month to put together and involved more than 40 officers from across Greater Manchester Police.

"The starting point is the intelligence that comes in from the public, from members of our community, which we're really grateful for.

“It’s a team effort – not just within GMP but with the wider community, and without them we can’t take the action as we did this week.

“We will always act on information from the public – it may not be immediate as it takes time to develop and plan for action to be taken.

“To report information to GMP, please call the police on 101, talk to us via LiveChat at www.gmp.police.uk or come directly to your neighbourhood policing team.

“Reports and concerns can also be made anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11 but always dial 999 in an emergency.”
