Dear Friend,

Big Lunch Street or Park event - Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd June 2024

Once again, the council is encouraging residents to get involved in supporting the Big Lunch Street or Park Events in Croydon on one of the two days (Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd June 2024) by hosting street or park events.

Croydon council’s Big Lunch web page has now been updated and I will highly recommend that you visit this page to read more on what is on offer for this year and how you can go about applying to register your event. Please click on this link to get to the Big Lunch 2024 webpage. All it takes is a 10-minute visit to The Big Lunch street parties | Croydon Council

Please note if you are planning to close your road or hold a party in one of the boroughs parks or open spaces for this year’s Big Lunch, the deadline for us to receive your application is Friday 3rd May 2024

For the answers to frequently asked questions, or a list of available green spaces, visit The Big Lunch FAQ 2024   where you will also learn how to:

  • safely stage events;
  • arrange road closures;
  • arrange the use of land around your estate; and
  • public liability insurance
  •

    Even if your event doesn’t involve a street party, the Council is also keen that you register your event by e-mailing us at: parties@croydon.gov.uk. This will enable us to archive what happened in Croydon for the Big Lunch Street / Park Events 2024. Please free to send pictures of your event to the above email address.
