Speed Survey - Finger Road, Dawley

PC Holyday 21766 from Dawley and Malinslee SNT and PC OWEN 22528 from Malinsgate Response attended Finger Road today (15/04), due to concerns from residents over speeding in the area, to complete a speed monitoring operation.

The displayed speed on the road is 30mph. Throughout the survey of 100 vehicles, the highest recorded speed was 37mph, and the average speed was 24mph.

Speed remains a large concern to road users and remains a part of the fatal four, which are the most common causes for lethal collisions on our roads. The fatal four being speeding, driving whilst on a mobile phone, drink or drug driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
