Crime data for Humberston and New Waltham Ward: March 2023

As a result of your calls for service, please find the following crime information for both Humberston and New Waltham Ward.

 

Humberston Ward

Crime

There were forty-one reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for March. For Humberston these included: 

Residential Burglary

  • During the evening of 17th March, an attempt was made to enter a property on Links Drive. Damage was caused to the front door, but no entry was gained. 
  • On 18th March, just after lunchtime, a male went to an address on North Sea Lane. On trying the front door handle, the door opened. The male called in and was answered by the occupant. The male made off from the address. 
  • During the early hours of 20th March, a suspect has tried to force entry to the rear doors of a property on Windermere Crescent. No entry was gained.                                                                                                        
  • Vehicle Crime

  • On 6th March two youths attempted to steal a golf buggy from the Beachcomber holiday park. They were disturbed so the buggy was left with damage caused.                                                                                                                     
  • Criminal damage

  • A car parked on South Sea Lane had its windows smashed. 
  • Damage caused to a static caravan on Thorpe Park after it was kicked by unknown persons. 
  • Other crime include

  • Four assaults. 
  • Two shop thefts and two making off without payment for fuel from Tesco. 
  • Two reports of harassment.
  • Two reports of sending malicious communications. 
  • Two minor public order offences.                                                                                                
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

    There have been two reports of ASB.    

  • Illegal use of motorbikes on Eastfield. 
  • One neighbour dispute.

    New Waltham Ward

    Crime

    There were forty-two reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for March. Of these, the following have occurred in New Waltham. 

  • Overnight 23rd & 24th March, a van parked on Station Avenue was broken into. Tools were stolen from the vehicle. 
  • Two reports of report of criminal damage, one to a vehicle on Brunton Way, the other a domestic related damage to a property.  
  • Other crime include

  • Two reports of harassment. 
  • Two reports of sending malicious communications. 
  • Two shop thefts.                                                                                                            
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

    There have been two reports of ASB.

  • Anti-social behaviour by a group of youths at the Premier Store. 
  • One neighbour issue over loud music being played.                                                                                          
  • How you can help 

    Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. 

     

    We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.
