Invitation to join the Knowledge Hub along with the hundreds of coordinators already signed up

Hello Nic

We are delighted to be able to invite you to join the Knowledge Hub, if you haven't done so already.  It is a bespoke support platform for Neighbourhood Watch volunteers like yourself.  We launched the Knowledge Hub in August 2021 and we have over 1600 active volunteers using the platform.

The hub is a result of listening to our volunteers through focus groups, listening events and feedback about what you wanted us to provide for you.

The hub provides help to our volunteers to enable them to have resources, ideas, and support for their roles within Neighbourhood Watch, albeit if you are a Coordinator, a Multi-Scheme Administrator or part of an Association.  The pages within the Hub are updated regularly and we encourage you to provide us with new ideas for topics.

Benefits of joining the hub:

  • Bespoke to your role
  • Early invitation to join events
  • Printable resources
  • Help videos
  • Volunteer forums – specific to your role – so you can chat with other volunteers
  • Personal development and training opportunities
  •

Topics so far available for Coordinators:

  • Getting started
  • How to develop your scheme membership
  • Exploring ways to communicate
  • Activities that you could do within your scheme
  • Connecting with your local policing teams
  • Dealing with member concerns about crime
  • How to resolve neighbour disputes
  • Running local crime prevention campaigns
  • Connecting with local partners
  • Fundraising tips
  • Social media help
  • We would love to share with you the opportunity to hear about how users of the hub have said about their experience so far.

    Coordinator – Avon and Somerset

The knowledge hub is an excellent source of information and support, empowering those involved in NhW to maximise its potential.

    Coordinator – Gloucester

I like this hub and am especially glad to see how the different groups work together. Thank you.

    Coordinator – Norfolk

Really good, its simple, easy to navigate and well laid out, definitely for a engaged volunteer of NWN this is perfect, freeing up the general website.

    Coordinator – Greater Manchester

Clear and easy to navigate. lots of potential help not just from the support teams but from other NWS volunteers. Looking forward to seeing it grow.

    Association Chair – Cumbria

However, I believe this Hub takes Neighbourhood Watch Network to another dimension in a very positive light. I like the set up and content and it will be interesting to see how it’s used compared to the official NWN website. There is some real potential with the Hub, and it will be interesting to see how it grows.

    Coordinator – Cheltenham

I gave 5 stars for the log in and for the use of the Hub another 5 stars.

    Coordinator – London

The pages are really easy to navigate and the information in them is so useful to me personally.  I feel much more confident to do my role. I love the forum and having that ability to chat with other coordinators from across the country.  Brilliant tool!

We would like to invite you to join the hub and you can do this by simply clicking HERE. However if you have already joined the Hub you do not need to do it again.

This will take you to the registration form for you to complete. We will then process this for you and get you up and running on the hub as quickly as possible.  You will receive a log in email from myhubintranet.com with your username and link to change your password.

If you have any queries, please contact us at volunteer@ourwatchmember.org.uk.

Best wishes and we look forward to welcoming you soon to the Hub!

    Cheryl
