In a response to several complaints regarding, “Street Drinkers,” along Drake Street/Oldham Road causing a nuisance, Licensing GMP along with the LA have attended a premises on Oldham Road, on Wednesday 27th March 2024 at approx. 10:00hrs. 

Upon arrival there were no street drinkers in the area. As a contingency LA Community Safety were present to issue fines, however this was not required. 

The DPS of the premises was spoken to and cautioned by the LA for breaching his licensing conditions. He also understands that if there are any further breaches or reports of selling alcohol to these street drinkers GMP licensing will review his licence and seek revocation. 

The LA may still yet decide to prosecute. 

Checks were conducted at another premises, however this premises was shut and will be for approx. 1 month for refurbishment.
