We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a robbery in Derby. A man approached and grabbed a woman in Rose Hill Street, Rose Hill, close to Arboretum Park at about 4.15pm on Tuesday 26 May. He then stole a quantity of cash from her before leaving the area. Officers were called to the scene and arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody. The 20-year-old woman sustained minor injuries. The suspect is described as a man aged between 25 and 30, about 6ft 4ins tall, with a slim but toned build and with a trimmed beard. He was wearing a black and white bucket hat, with a beige shirt and black shorts. Officers believe there was a number of potential witnesses in the area at the time and we are urging these people to please come forward. Shortly after the robbery, the victim spoke to a member of the public in Arboretum Park who was wearing red clothing, including a shirt that said ‘staff’ on it. We would like this member of the public to please make themselves known to officers as they could help with our enquiries. Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has CCTV, dash cam or Ring doorbell footage in the area who has not already spoken to officers. Information can be passed to us using one of the methods below and please quote incident number 26*304252.
