Dear Resident
Good Evening to you all from the Four Oaks and Newhall Neighbourhood Teams,
On this set of shifts your neighbourhood teams have been busy in your communities carrying out the following tasks
Safer Business Action (SaBA) Week As part Safer Business Action (SaBA) Week neighbourhood teams have been patrolling retail areas this week, as a result a prolific shoplifter was arrested and was charged and remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 13 NOV for 9 Theft offences in Wylde Green.
Walmley Rememberance Parade Officers attended Walmley rememberance parade and laid a wreath at the memorial.
Burglaries Clarence Road -A rear window was broken and unknown offenders have entered the address, unfortunately some personal items were stolen but they were unable to steal the vehicles due to owners security precautions. Knighton Drive - Unknown Offenders have broken into the property and found keys to a Mercedes parked on the drive and have stolen it. Hill Village Road - Unknown offenders have stolen a BMW by hacking into the key fob with electronic device.
If you do own a keyless entry vehicle please make sure that your keys are kept in a faraday pouch, when at home or out and about, this will stop thieves getting the signal for your vehicle, check the pouch regularly to make sure that it is working, also use a steering wheel lock, which is a visual deterrent. For more crime prevention advice go to www.westmidlands.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/
The nights are getting darker, so please remember to lock all windows and doors before heading out and make sure your home looks like someone is in.
PCSO has attended Four Oaks Baptist Church to carry out Police Surgeries giving crime prevention advice and talking to local residents about issues in the area.
A visit was made to Hellaby House to give a talk on Bogus callers and personal safety.
General patrols were carried out in retail areas in Mere Green and Walmley to deter shop theft and beggars.
We are looking for more volunteers for Street Watch and Speed Watch in your local neighbourhood, if you would like more information, please contact the team on the email address below. suttonfouroaks@westmidlands.police.uk
Have a safe week. Kind Regards PCSO Gill Whittingham | ||
