Garden thefts

Good evening. Wyre Neighbourhood Policing Team have had reports of thefts from gardens in your area. It may seem obvious but protecting your garden and outbuildings not only keeps bikes and other valuables safe but can also stop burglars accessing tools to get into your home.

Where possible, always store ladders, tools, bikes etc in a locked shed or garage. Try to avoid leaving bins in a position where they can be used to climb over fences. Keep rear gates locked as this can help deter intruders. 

Simple steps can make a huge difference – don’t give intruders ‘shedloads’ of opportunities!
