Foot patrol (01/11/2025)

The Chingford League runners (p) were in town this morning to take on the Eastbrookend Country Park (Go Harriers, apparently) as Rick took in most of Rush Green over 4 hours (9.17 miles).

After 2.17 miles of the country park and Footpath 18, Fels Farm Mews, Valentines Way (11.46am), Great Cullings and all of Parish Fields (12.06pm, p) were patrolled.

Eastbrook Drive (12.57pm, p) followed, along with full coverage of the Gorseway (1.25pm) side of Dagenham Road, including Lilac Gardens (1.44pm, p). It was then up to the Co-op borough boundary, into Forth Avenue and Central Park (2.29pm), before the length of Park Drive on the Parkside beat.

"I was expecting 50 people to take part in the running. When I saw hundreds of people pouring past, I was half-expecting to see Godzilla or something not far behind. There was no Godzilla though, just to confirm. Calm down, everyone."
