I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Hi Everyone
Mobile phone thefts are increasing in number in the Canning Town area. As it gets darker and move further into winter they will increase unless we all act now.
Canning Town train station / DLR is a highly targeted location so please be on the look out for anything suspicious. Criminals are using the likes of electric bikes, scooters and pedal bikes to be in and gone as soon as possible. If you see behavior you believe is odd or suspicious then please call it in to the police. You may be saving somebody from becoming a victim.
The Canning Town Teams have been working together to tackle this in the last few weeks. We recommend not using phone within the vincity of the train station
