We would like to wish you a happy Halloween if you are celebrating today and want you to enjoy Halloween, but remember, not everyone wants to take part! Here's a few things to remember when you're out this Halloween. • If you’re going trick or treating, make sure you go with children and keep an eye on them. • Don’t knock if there’s a sign saying ‘No trick or treat here.’ • Be careful not to frighten elderly or vulnerable people. • Don’t allow children to go trick or treating alone - stay within your group. • Only visit areas where there are streetlights. Avoid taking shortcuts through gardens, alleyways or parks. • Don’t throw eggs and flour. This is a form of anti-social behaviour, which will not be tolerated. • Be careful crossing roads in the dark. We would recommend wearing a bright costume or having a reflective strip on it. If part of the costume includes a mask, make sure you can see through it. Have a great time, stay safe and look out for each other. If you or someone you know is in danger call 999.
