Here are our crime statistics for October 2025.

There are 17 reported crime fitting into the categories below, compared with 14 in 2024, 19 in 2023, 14 in 2022 & 9 in 2021. 

Burglary                                 1 (Nightingale Lane - Suspects gained entry to the property by forcing the rear door)

Robbery                                 2 (Southborough Lane & Homesdale Road)

TOMV                                    5 (Park Road, The Laurels, Vale Road, Marian Gardens & Claremont Road) We advice steering wheel disc locks - tracking devices - driveway posts - visit www.met.police.uk for further crime prevention advice.

TFMV                                     9 (Cloisters Avenue, Woodlands Road, Clarence Road, Springfield Gardens, Ring Close, Mayfield Road, Sunningdale Road, Sundridge Ave & Claremont Road) We have received reports of suspects seen during the night trying car door handles, if seen please call 999 - Tools, money, Wallets, computer, registration plates & a sat nave have been stolen.    

Home Security Tips:
• Always lock doors and windows, even when you’re at home or in the garden.
• Use high-quality locks on doors and consider installing a door chain or spyhole.
• Set your house alarm and use timers on lights if you’re going out or away overnight.
• Keep valuables, keys, and car fobs out of sight and away from doors or letterboxes.
• Secure side gates and sheds, and don’t leave ladders or tools accessible outside.
• Install motion-sensor lighting or CCTV to deter potential offenders.

If you notice anyone acting suspiciously in your street, or see unfamiliar vehicles loitering, please report it immediately to police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
