🚨Theft from a van overnight in your area🚨

North Yorkshire Police are requesting extra vigilance and increased security. We have received a report of a van that had been parked on Nightingale Close, Brompton, has been broken into. This has happened late last night or the early hours of this morning, Saturday 19th July 25.  If anyone has any information about this crime or any suspicious activity in the area, please report to the police immediately on 101, reference 12250133232 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

If you have a work van parked overnight, please keep security in mind. You can make it much harder for offenders to target your vehicle by:

  • Removing tools overnight where possible or hiding them out of sight
  • Adding internal security such as tool lockers or improved door locks
  • Fitting a vehicle alarm and tracker
  • Fitting a dash cam
  • Parking in front of CCTV or a video doorbell where possible
  • Parking on a driveway with rear doors up against a solid object
  • You can register your tools and more here, The National Property Register, for Phones, Gadgets, Bicycles & More...

We also have property marking equipment, so if you would like your tools security marking free of charge then please contact us on the above email address. We do have security marking events across Hambleton but can also come directly to your address if you have a number of items to mark.

    Thankyou
