Speed Checks - Drivers given warnings

Since the start of July, I have been completing speed checks in and around the village.

On the 3rd of July, myself and the children from Divine Saviour School (Year 5) conducted a speed check on Gallows Hill Lane. 85 vehicles went past us.

😡 9 Drivers decided to drive past us over the 30mph limit (between 35, 37 and 41) . 1 driver passed by at 47mph!!

What has shocked me the most is, these drivers are local residents.

Warning letters are being sent out today, as well as the worst offenders are going to be given Section 59 notice.

We will continue to provide you with updates regarding this and any other issues you raise in the local priority survey.
