Waste Crime in Preston

South RTF in company with enforcement officers from Preston City Council, the Stolen Vehicle Identifcation Unit and the DVLA, have today targeted those fly tipping and committing waste crime in and around the Preston area.

Having begun the day with a stop check site on Blackpool Road, the team then targeted known areas  of flytipping, before ending the day at Tom Benson way household and waste recycling centre.

Those legally dealing and disposing of waste correctly were thanked and promptly sent on their way.  On the other hand, several drivers have been issued with fines and penalty points for vehicle offences.  A number of waste carrying vehicles illegally parked have received removal notices and will be seized if these are not acted upon.

We will continue to target illegal waste carriers and those flytipping in our community and those committing offences will be dealt with robustly.
