Rushcliffe South crime stats

As some people who attending beat surgeries, parish council meetings, rural engagement meetings and neighbourhood watch meetings will know Nottinghamshire Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are required to analyse crime and incident statistics.

During Op Sceptre week of action around knife crime we have assessed the crime statistics for Rushcliffe South the area covered by the Facebook page for weapons possession related offences for the last six years the number of recorded crimes has remained low compared to other areas.

2019 – 19 offences

2020 – 14 offences

2021 – 20 offences

2022 – 38 offences

2023 – 36 offences

2024 – 26 offences for the year to date.

If we compare the data to the City South area for 2023 they record 4.83 times as many offences.

We would encourage people with concerns about individuals or items linked to weapons or knife crime to report them on 101 or online , if you wish to remain anonymous you can report to the independent crime prevention charity crimestoppers.
