Operation Lap Land

Dear Residents,

Its nearly time for dedicated officers to commence Op Lapland.

The op will consist of high visibility police patrols taking place in Corby Town.

This will be from the 8th of December and the aim is to reassure retail outlets, traders and shoppers in the run-up to Christmas.

Visits are also being carried out at our stores to provide advice and answer any questions that retailers may have.

These patrols are intended to deter anyone thinking of trying to capitalise on the busy Christmas trading.

Neighbourhoods Sgt's Briggs and Cox are directing their officers to actively disrupt known offenders believed to be actively offending against businesses or threatening public safety in our county.

We want to make it crystal clear those thinking of breaking the law, it’s not just ending up on Santa’s naughty list you need to worry about.

We will be out looking for you, so don’t give us a reason to lock you up for Christmas.

Extra officers will be out and about providing a highly-visible policing presence.

Your Neighbourhood Team will work to reassure local businesses and shoppers, helping to keep our town centres as safe as possible at this busy time of year.

Everyone has the right to enjoy the festive season safely and peacefully.
