Dear Resident

Chorley & South Ribble Task Force today showed a presence in the Rivington and Surrounding areas.

The area was part of the Horwich 2024 Triathalon and a number of Off road bikes were seen in the area.  With the increased foot fall in the area these could have caused an issue and danger for pedestrians and athletes.  

One off road bike was seized for riding on a road without insurance and we feel the message got across quite quickly.  

This issue has been raised by the community as a priority in the area through out alert service Lancashire Talking / In the Know.
