A Royal Visit

Ellesmere was privileged today to have received a visit from HRH Princess Anne.

HRH Princess Anne arrived by Helicopter, was collected from Ellesmere College, and taken to the Lyth where she met members of the Jebb Family, before attending the Mere where she was then greeted by various members of the Charity, the sculptor of the sisters monument within the gardens, the public and delightfully sung to by children from local schools before, unveiling a new plaque.

Save the Children was founded by Eglantyne Jebb and her sister Dorothy Buxton, Ellesmere is lucky to the birth place of these inspirational women and as HRH Princess Anne is the Patron of Save the Children ( which she became on 2017 after serving as the President since 1970) it was fitting that she graced us with her presence and unveiling of the new plaque.

Local officers were fortunate enough to be involved in todays special events with PCSO's Stu Carroll and Kerry Hogg having the pleasure of seeing HRH land at Ellesmere College.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Ellesmere for their support today.
