Damage to trees in Maurice Lea Park

A report was made to Police yesterday evening, 23rd at 20:40hrs that some sapling trees were being damaged and had been snapped in half at Maurice lea Memorial Park by several youths.

SNT officers were nearby and attended the location, but the offenders had left prior to arrival. We do however have some viable lines of enquiry to follow and would urge parents of any youths out in the locality at the time to come forward if they have any information that would assist our enquiries.

The public spaces are for the whole community’s enjoyment, and we are keen to put a stop to the small minority who are intent on committing mindless vandalism and spoiling it for all.
