Community engagement / General update

Dear Residents.

Firstly I'd like to say that I am aware there are still issues regarding youths and catapults.

Whilst Friday was a good result, I know there is more work to be done. Please ensure that any incidents are reported in the correct channels (999 in an emergency/crime in progress or via 101/online reporting if it is a non-emergency).

CCTV, video footage or photo's can be key, so please get in touch via 101/online reporting quoting reference: 19-0732 if you have any.

So far today, PCSO Fuller and I have been out and about in the area. First thing we visited kids over in Brenchley, taking the police car as well as various bits of uniform for them to try on. Whilst patrolling, investigating and general policing is important, I believe it is key that we make time to engage with the public as much as possible. As a community based department we are always keen to do this in different ways.

After visiting Brenchley we conducted some speed checks in the Paddock Wood area. I know that speeding is a key issue to many residents and it is a priority of ours. Around 50 vehicles were checked whilst there and we will continue to do this when possible.

I will continue to use this platform to keep you updated with any results, activity etc in regards to the work that's been going into the areas you live.

Kind regards,

PC Connor Geelan.
