Over the last couple of shifts  Gateshead Central Neighbourhood Policing team have been very proactive in tackling crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in your area. Below is just  some of the stuff  the local officers have been getting up to.

A number of Illegal substances including cocaine and Heroin, were seized as part of a routine vehicle check resulting in the vehicle being seized. The driver of this vehicle was also arrested  and is now currently under investigation.  

The below vehicle was located on Oakwood, Gateshead after members of the public reported a suspicious vehicle which had been parked up insecure for a number of weeks. Gateshead Central Neighbourhood Policing team attended the area and quickly identified this vehicle was displaying a different registration plate compared to the Chassis  number of the vehicle. This  vehicle was later identified as a stolen vehicle from the Newcastle area.   This vehicle has now been recovered and the owner has been contacted. 

A number  of officers from Gateshead Central Policing team  (OP VIENNA) continue to work in close partnership with Trading standards and continue to get some very impressive results. These officers have worked Tirelessly gathering intelligence and receiving  information from Trading standards about shops/people/addresses and vehicles that are all involved in the sale of illegal Cigarettes/Tobacco and vapes. Only yesterday the officers have acted on intelligence and the list below if  what was found during a joint effort with trading standards.

This now takes the estimated value in the last year of seized Cigarettes, Tobacco and Vapes up to around £1,500,000
