Dear Resident, Welcome to the April edition of your neighbourhood policing newsletter. April has been a quieter month for us in terms of proactive activity with the Easter break and many officers taking time off to spend with their families. However, we’ve got out as much as we can, addressing your concerns including anti-social behaviour, anti-social driving, speeding and parking. Although we’ve not had the Spring weather we hoped for, our PCSOs and PCs have been getting out on foot and in particular on bikes, patrolling across some of the villages and Hinchingbrooke Park. Being on bikes allows us to cover a lot of ground in a shift and access all the green spaces where there are often concerns around anti-social behaviour. Our Rural Crime Action Team have shared news on the good work they’ve been doing over the past year including recovering just under one million pounds worth of suspected stolen property. Read more about the work of the team on our website. Kind Regards, Inspector Colin Norden Huntingdonshire Neighbourhood Policing Team
Current priorities for your local Neighbourhood Policing Team Every three months we use a combination of our own data and your feedback via our community policing survey to set three priorities for each of our neighbourhood policing teams to focus on for the coming quarter. We last met with members of the public on 5 March where the priorities until June were set. They include: · Speeding · Drugs and weapons offences · Parking If you missed the meeting and would like to join our next meeting on 11 June, Please register to be sent the meeting invite
