“On Tuesday the 9th April 2024 at approximately 18:30hrs an unknown male has entered an elderly ladies property on Masefield Drive, claiming to need to speak to her in relation to rubbish in her garden. Whilst inside he has further claimed to be looking for a piece of paper so that he can write a phone number down, but during his search he is suspected to have stolen a purse containing around £400. After leaving the property he is thought to have travelled on foot down Shelley Road. 

He is described as a white male, around 5'8" in height and of a stocky build. He had stubble and dark coloured hair. He wore a dark coloured tracksuit, potentially black, with matching top and trousers. His top was a pullover jumper without a hood. He spoke with a local Tamworth accent.

This male may have attempted to target other vulnerable people in the area, before or after this time.
