THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOU HELP - NEW POLICING PRIORITIES IN BIRSTALL & WANLIP

Good Afternoon,

I would just like to say a big thank you to the residents that have taken to time to complete surveys over the last 3 months, this time and effort is very much appreciated by us all on the Birstall & Wanlip Policing team and our wider family, as it helps us focus on what matters to you.

As a result of surveys being completed by residents of Birstall & Wanlip, our local priorities for the next 3 month have been set.  Priority 1 & 2 have been highlighted by you (Birstall & Wanlip Residents) and the 3rd priority has been included as a result of analysing current crime trends.

New Priorities

1)    You have stated that Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is a concern within the Birstall ward.
- Patrols will take place at identified locations.  Work will continue to identify people involved and where appropriate a joint approach with partner agencies will take place to provide  longer term  solution.

2)    You have stated that road safety and obstructions are  a concern.
- Patrols around schools  speed operations and patrols will be carried out at identified location of concern.

3)    Theft from motor unattended vehicles
There has been an increase in theft from motor vehicles in the last 3 months, predominately on  the West side of the beat (Goscote Ward, and Greengate Ward) mainly between 4pm and 3am.
Targeted patrols will take place at key times and locations to deter offenders and work will continue to assist with investigations to identify and prosecute offenders.

If you are reading this message as a Neighbourhood Link member and have not completed any surveys, please take to the time to fill one out - it only takes a minute and helps us, to focus on the issues and concerns that matter to you are a local resident.

Once again thank you for your support - together we can make a difference and hold those that commit crime, act anti-socially or make our roads unsafe to account.

Kindest regards
