We have been receiving information recently of callers at the door offering property maintenance work, such as laying new drives, gutter repairs or replacements, roof repairs etc.

At the risk of repeating advice that we have given consistently over the last 25 years or so, do take considerable care in doing business with these callers.  In fact, we would recommend that you do not engage with them at all as so many of them result in overcharging, providing poor quality workmanship, or creating extra work for themselves to do.

Always get written quotations on headed paper if you should consider using their services and get more than one quotation.
