BEAT TEAMS JOIN FORCES TO CONDUCT SPEEDING OPERATION




This morning members of the the Ashby Beat Team and the Forest Beat team combined their efforts and conducted speed checks In Ashby , Packington and Moira.

In Packington a 30 minute operation was conducted on Ashby Road during which time 42 vehicles travelled through the location and 8 vehicles were found to be travelling in excess of the 30 mph limit.

Officers then moved onto Ashby de la Zouch an conducted a 20 minute operation on Measham Road during which time 45 vehicles travelled through the location and 10 vehicles were travelling in excess of the 30mph speed limit

The final checks were conducted on Measham Road in Moira where in the space of 30 minutes 10 vehicles out of the 72 that were checked were exceeding the 30 mph speed limit.

These vehicles details have all been recorded and the offending drivers will be hearing from us in the near future.

The data generated will also be passed to Leicestershire Police Road Safety Unit.
