Staying safe from scams, doorstep crime & courier fraud (BSL available)

Dear Thames Valley Alert members,

 

I write to recommend an up-coming webinar, which will be co-hosted by Thames Valley Police and Buckinghamshire & Surrey Trading Standards.

 

This will take place at 10am on Thursday 18th April and will cover scams, doorstep crime and courier fraud.

For those residents without access to the internet the webinar will be broadcast live at Aylesbury Library, Hazelmere Library and Marlow Library.

 

Materials on offer will include:-

  • Free call blockers (for those susceptible to scam and nuisance phone calls)
  • Free door cameras (for those susceptible to in person crime on the doorstep)
  • Free sticker packs (Scams, No Cold Calling, Pre-shopping legal advice translated into easy read format)
  • Illegal Money Lending (avoiding loan sharks)
  • Scams and Fraud (prevention and protection messaging).
