Residential Burglary and other Crime Report

6th to 15th April April 2024

Dear Surrey Heath Residents

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the past week 06/04/2024 to 15/04/2024.  Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

BURGLARY BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY - 0

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - 5

Castle Grove Road, CHOBHAM – entry gained via gate and cutting locks.  High value bikes stolen.  Occurred on 7th April 2024 at 01:00hrs captured via CCTV.

Barnes Road, FRIMLEY – attempted burglary via rear door and criminal damage to vehicle and rear door and window.   Occurred on 7th April 2024 at 23:00hrs.

Mytchett Road, MYTCHETT – Cash stolen from restricted room in multiple occupancy house.  Occurred on 8th April 2024 at 09:30hrs and 16:55hrs.

Mincing Lane, CHOBHAM – attempted burglary to gain entry via connected garage using an axe.    Occurred on 11th April 2024 between 01:05hrs and 01:09hrs.

Scotts Grove Road, CHOBHAM – gained entry to rear door of premises and stolen keys to vehicle and stolen the vehicle - Audi.  Occurred on 13th April 2024 between 19:45hrs and 20:02hrs.

Theft from Motor Vehicle - 3

Elder Road, BISLEY – theft of tools – occurred between 06/04/24 17:00hrs and 07/04/24 18:00hrs.

Portsmouth Road, CAMBERLEY – Theft of tools from transit van.  Occurred between 04/04/24 at 19:00hrs and 05/04/24 at 07:30hrs.

Westerdale Drive, FRIMLEY – Theft of number plates.  Occurred between 04/04/24 00:00hrs and 07/04/24 23:59hrs.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – 6

The Fairway, CAMBERLEY – Theft of vehicle (BMW).  Occurred between 07/04/24 22:00hrs and 08/04/24 06:30hrs.

Scotts Grove Road, CHOBHAM – Theft of Vehicle (Audi).  Occurred on 13th April 2024 between 19:45hrs and 20:02hrs.

Windmill Field, WINDLESHAM – Theft of Motorhome.  Occurred on 07/04/24 between 22:10hrs and 23:10hrs.

Kings Lane, WINDLESHAM – Theft of Vehicle (Nissan Micra).  Occurred between 04/04/24 00:00hrs and 08/04/24 16:27hrs.

Nelson Way, CAMBERLEY – Theft of Vehicle (Ford Transit).  Occurred on 10/04/24 at 15:48hrs.

Le Marchant Road, FRIMLEY – attempted theft of vehicle by trying handles. Occurred on 13/04/24 between 05:00hrs and 21:26hrs.

To provide a further idea of the criminal activities of the Surrey Heath Police neighbourhood and response teams in the past two weeks, there were 167 new incidents/occurrences being investigated during this period. A summary of relevant incidents by crime type is given below.

Dangerous Dogs – 0

Drink spiking - 0

Drugs – 3

Fraud - 0

Harassment – 7

Hate crime/incident - 2

Prescribed Limited Offences (drink/drug driving) - 4

Public Order – 10

Robbery - 0

Sexual offences -2

Stalking – 0

Theft (including shopping lifting) – 17

Cybercrime/online fraud/online blackmail – 3

Do not give your bank details or transfer money online unless you have taken due diligence to ensure they are a legitimate organisation, if in doubt DO NOT send money.  There are thousands of scams and they are getting smarter and more proactive, please be vigilant.
