Malvern Man issued with Section 59 Warning Notice

An 18 year old Malvern man has been issued with a Section 59 Warning Notice following being witnessed by PCSO Kevin Tudge riding his motorbike in a careless manner contrary to Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

The male was witnessed on his motorbike riding on Worcester Road in Malvern Link at 7.14 pm on Tuesday 9th of April, pulling wheelies whilst through the centre of Malvern Link.

The area was busy with both road and foot traffic at the time, this manner of riding is dangerous and could have lead to the rider and others being injured by the riders actions.

I have since issued the Section 59 warning which will last for 12 months, meaning if any person/s continue to drive the motorbike in a similar manner or the man drives any motor vehicle in a similar manner in the next 12 months the vehicle may be seized by police.

We see a lot of incidents on our roads whereby particularly young people are hurt or even killed, sometimes through careless actions such as this.

We recognise that most young people drive responsibly and would encourage others to do the same.

Thank you for reading

PCSO Kevin Tudge
