Larches and Savick March updates

Good Evening Residents,

We hope that everyone has had a safe March. Your Neighbourhood Policing Team wanted to make you aware of the activities we have undertaken this month.

This month we attended Ashton High to give inputs to all the year groups regarding knife crime. We have also been ticketing cars parked anti socially and held a speed enforcement site on Le Road, which we will be looking to do again as at least 20 cars were caught speeding in that area in the 2 hour time period we were there. This is done in collaboration with the safer roads team, and those caught will receive educational letters in the post. We have been working close with gateway to resolve Neighbour Disputes.

You may remember a few months ago, Tesco Express on Blackpool Road was being heavily targeted with shop liftings. We have worked alongside Tesco's, and the licencing team to improve the CCTV footage in the store to help the police identify suspects. We have also conducted plain clothes operations to identify those responsible. Tesco has had a decrease in shop liftings since this and we have been able to robustly deal with those responsible.

The next PACT meeting will be held on Tuesday 5th March at Oak Tree Court at 18:30 for any further issues to be raised.

Kind Regards,

PC Abby and PCSO Alex
