Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 27 March 2024


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

Between 5.00pm on Thursday 21 and 8.50am on Friday 22 March in Sywell Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a house was entered through an unlocked rear door and a handbag was stolen from a kitchen table. The navy coloured Radley handbag had a shoulder strap and smallish handles and contained a mobile phone, glasses, driving licence and bank cards.

Burglary Other

At 3.20am on Thursday 21 March in Low Street, Sutton in Ashfield, the shutters to CEX Entertainment were forced and the alarm activated. No entry was gained.

Theft of motor vehicle

Around 1.43am on Saturday 23 March in Ashford Rise, Sutton in Ashfield, someone entered a house and stole a set of keys which they used to steal a car. The grey Audi E-Tron car was being charged through an open window. In the car was a handbag containing bank cards and two mobile phones.

Theft from motor vehicle

Between 4.00pm on Thursday 21 and 7.40am on Saturday 23 March in Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a white Vauxhall Astra parked at the roadside, insecure due to faulty central locking, was entered and a work bag containing gym clothes and an entry fob for the gym was stolen. The fob was later used to enter the gym on two occasions.

Theft

At 2.40pm on Friday 22 March in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a locked black Pinnacle pushbike with orange markings, was stolen by a male from outside the Children’s Charity Shop. He made off in the direction of the Sutton Academy. 

Robbery

Between 3.00pm and 3.30pm on Monday 25 March near the vehicle entrance to Healdswood Recreation Ground, Mansfield Road, Skegby, a 13 year old male was mugged by a group of males who stole his bag. One male threatened him with a knife saying ”You either walk off or get stabbed”. The male with the knife was 5-08” tall, slim build, wearing black joggers, a black coat, hoodie and balaclava.

Criminal Damage

At 1.10am on Friday 22 March in Paling Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, bricks were thrown which smashed the bedroom and living room windows of a property.

Between 7.00pm on Friday 22 and 9.00am on Saturday 23 March in Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a red Ford Fiesta Zetec Turbo car, parked on a driveway behind a locked gate, was broken into by smashing the front passenger side window. The glove box and car was searched.

Between 7.30pm on Tuesday 26 and 8.30am on Wednesday 27 March in Brook Street, Sutton in Ashfield, paint was thrown over the entrance door to the Bainbridge Ballroom.
